The Public Works Department is responsible for the management of the Township Landfill Site, located at 14595 Trillium Road, Newington. The Trillium Road Landfill Site is open Fridays and Saturdays, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and closed on all statutory holidays.

Free Access Landfill Pass
Each year, property owners and tenants in the Township of South Stormont are eligible to receive a free landfill pass, good for two (2) free loads to the Trillium Landfill Site. Only one free landfill pass will be issued per household, and all additional visits to the landfill will be subject to tipping fees.
Free Landfill Passes will not be accepted for the disposal of shingles and construction materials. These items are subject to tipping fees.

Residents can also obtain a landfill pass by visiting the Township Office during regular business hours of Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
