On Tuesday, October 10 at a Committee of the Whole Meeting, Council received an overview of the findings from WT Infrastructure for the Long Sault and Ingleside Master Servicing Plan. A recording of the entire presentation can be viewed here.
This study is intended to support forecasted growth and will consider needs, capacity, location and configuration for transportation, water supply, wastewater collection and stormwater management within the study area of Long Sault and Ingleside.
The overall goal will be to identify the preferred servicing solutions and associated infrastructure needs and costs. The finalized study will provide priorities for the short, medium and longer terms to support Township budgeting.
A preliminary Public Information Session has been scheduled for Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the South Stormont Community Hall (2 Mille Roches Rd, Long Sault) to share an overview of the Master Servicing Plan, provide information regarding the scope, identified needs, project opportunities and potential alternatives, and to collect feedback from the public on the proposed next steps of the process.
A second Public Information Session is scheduled for Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m at the South Stormont Community Hall that will dive into the alternative analysis, preferred alternatives, associated costs and implementation plans.
Commentary received from the public will be gathered at each Public Information Session, as well as other means of community engagement, which will then be used to produce a final report and recommendation for Council's consideration at a later date.
