The Cornwall SDG Business Enterprise Centre is pleased to partner with the Township of South Stormont for Breakfast Connections. An open invitation is extended to business owners and community leaders from South Stormont and neighbouring municipalities.
Breakfast Connections has stopped in South Glengarry and North Stormont this year and will be continuing the popular networking event. On June 20th, Breakfast Connections will be held in South Stormont for the second time! Business leaders interested in participating are welcome to attend from 7:30 am to 9:30 am at South Stormont Community Hall, 2 Milles Roches Road, Long Sault.
“We are pleased to welcome as our special guest speaker Terry Wills, Advisory Committee Chairman of Wills Transfer”, said Shauna Baggs, Cornwall SDG Business Enterprise Centre. “Terry will share his experiences of growing the logistics business from one location in Smiths Falls to seven locations throughout Eastern Ontario, including a new facility in Ingleside and transitioning the business to the next generation.”
Terry Wills graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Commerce and began his career working for Ernst and Young in Toronto while earning his CPA. In 1979, he returned to the family business his grandfather started in 1945 leading the third generation of Wills Transfer into the company it is today. The company was founded on the belief that positive customer relations are essential to making the business successful. Now, with over 75 years of experience, handed down from one generation to the next, this local family-owned business will be transitioning to the leadership of Jordi Wills, making it the 4th generation business. Terry will be sharing the Wills Transfer story and the lessons he will be passing along to his son.
“The opportunity for our business owners and entrepreneurs to network and learn from each other is invaluable,” said South Stormont Mayor Bryan McGillis. “We’re very pleased to welcome Terry Wills to the event to share his extensive experience with South Stormont businesses.”
This free event will take place at the at the South Stormont Community Hall in Long Sault (2 Milles Roches) and will be an excellent opportunity to network with other entrepreneurs and learn from one of the region’s most successful long-time businesses.
A full complimentary breakfast will be served and is made possible through the generous support of The Township of South Stormont the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, Choose Cornwall, and Seguin Financial.
There is no cost to attend the Business Breakfast, however, pre-registration is required. Space is limited to 75 attendees, so be sure to register early to avoid disappointment!
