The Township of South Stormont is situated in Eastern Ontario adjacent to the City of Cornwall, and approximately 1 hour southeast of Ottawa, and 1.5 hours west of Montreal, along the St. Lawrence River.

Highway 401 travels through the heart of the Township, with 3 exits, including in Long Sault and Ingleside, the two largest communities in South Stormont. 

VIA Rail access is available in the City of Cornwall, approximately 15 minutes from South Stormont.
