The Township of South Stormont proudly hosted its annual Volunteer Appreciation Gala on Friday, May 2, at the South Stormont Community Hall. Potential Canada Post Strike

After a pause in the national Canada Post Strike at the end of 2024, negotiations between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) continue. Labour disruption is possible as early as May 22.

Easter Office Closure 2025

The Township Office will be closed on Friday, April 18 for Good Friday, and Monday, April 21, for Easter Monday. 

There will be NO CHANGES to garbage and recycling collection due to the holiday, however the Trillium Road Landfill will be closed on Friday, April 18 for Good Friday.

Council Approves Construction of Ingleside Fire Hall

South Stormont – At the Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, Council approved a tender bid to build the new Station 2 Fire Hall in Ingleside. The Township received nine (9) compliant bids for the Station 2 construction and awarded the tender to Robert J. Bourgon Construction in the amount of $4,294,263.00.
