Ontario Renovates Program Opens September 9th

Ontario Renovates is a popular home improvement program that assists low and moderate income families and seniors in Cornwall and the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.
Through Ontario Renovates, eligible homeowners can receive funding for urgent home repairs as well as modifications to make their homes more accessible.
The property must be located within the City of Cornwall or the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry. Funding is not available for work that is already started.
Other eligibility criteria include but are not limited to:
- Maximum household income limits
- Maximum house values
- Funding under the Ontario Renovations component takes the form of a forgivable loan without interest.
This program is intended for necessary repairs of dwellings such as single, semi-detached, townhouse/row house and mobile homes (where the home is not located on leased land). It is not intended for cosmetic repairs or general maintenance.
The work required must not have been started prior to the approval of the Service Manager; any work begun prior to approval will not be considered.
Program Launch Date – Monday September 9th, 2019
Applications can be picked up either at the Housing Access Centre (340 Pitt Street - 3rd Floor, Cornwall, Ontario K6J 3P9) or accessed online at cornwall.ca effective Tuesday September 3rd, 2019
Applications will be accepted, in person, from Monday September 9th up to Friday September 20th, 2019 (or until maximum funding has been reached – whichever occurs first)
