Half-Load Restrictions Begin

It’s still the middle of February, but thanks to some unseasonably mild conditions SDG Counties will begin its half-load season just a bit early.

Half-load season in our region will come into effect on Wednesday, Feb. 21 – a full three weeks ahead of schedule.

The reason is pretty evident when one checks the recent temperatures that we’ve experienced in our region. Despite some recent snow, this winter has been pretty accomodating thus far.

Watershed Conditions: Water Safety Statement from Raisin Region Conservation Authority

The Raisin Region Conservation Authority (RRCA) is issuing a Water Safety Statement for the RRCA jurisdiction.

The current short-term weather forecast indicates that temperatures will be above zero degrees Celsius today, and daytime highs will remain above zero through to Monday, February 12. Over the same period, approximately 10+ mm of precipitation is likely, much of which is expected to fall as rain. Trans-Northern Pipeline Upcoming Integrity Digs

Trans-Northern Pipeline (TNPI) will be commencing integrity digs and maintenance on privately owned properties beginning the week of January 22, 2024. As part of TNPI'S regular inspection and maintenance program, they will be conducting integrity digs to inspect the pipeline and, if required, make necessary repairs. Integrity digs ensure the continued safe operation of the pipeline protecting the public and the environment.

Watermain Break on Highway 138 - November 23

Please be advised that the water has been shut off on Highway 138 from Virginia Street to Marlyn Street, for an emergency watermain break repair. Public Works is working to get the repair completed as soon as possible. It is estimated to be restored by 3:30pm. Updates will follow as they become available.
