Mental Health First Aid in Agriculture

In response to the farmer mental health crisis, The Do More Foundation has partnered with Mental Health First Aid Canada (MHFAC) to give farmers the skills to support someone developing or dealing with a mental health concern or crisis, and how to provide initial help and guide the person to appropriate professional resources.

The training, held from March 25 - 26, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.,  is open to the public, but space is limited. We would like to give preference to farmers and practitioners in Eastern Ontario, directly affected by mental health challenges in their communities. Participants will receive a first-aid certificate issued by MHFAC upon completion of both training days.

Please note that the course will be given in English and held at Cooper Marsh Visitor Centre (20020 SDG County Road #2, South Glengarry)
